Scope and contact
This notice covers the FunSurveys editorial website at www.fun-surveys.com, including its guides and browser tools. Contact the website operator at info@fun-surveys.com for privacy questions or requests.
Reading an editorial guide does not enrol you in a survey panel. When you follow a link to a survey provider, business product or app, that service’s own privacy notice and terms apply. This notice does not describe the collection of respondent profiles or research answers by those separate services.
Information involved in a visit
- Website requests: serving a page involves your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Hosting and security services may record request and error information to deliver and protect the website.
- Email: if you email us, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to address your enquiry, correction or business request. Email is handled through our email service; this contact route is not an anonymous submission.
- Browser tools: some tools store settings or activity in your browser. For example, the practice poll and personal opinion board use local storage for your choices, streaks or notes. The private survey earnings tracker stores the session details you choose to save in this browser profile; exports and backups contain those details. Its entered records are not added to a share URL or submitted to a tracking-tool backend. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to read them; this is not encrypted or cloud storage. The survey planner, guided finder and provider lookup process inputs locally using the embedded dated catalog, without contacting a searched provider domain. Clearing site data removes those local records; browser storage does not by itself establish a representative public poll.
- External tool requests: the IP lookup tool contacts ipapi.co only after you start a lookup, and may send an IP address you enter. QR codes are generated locally in your browser; their contents are not sent to a QR provider. Avoid entering secrets, identity documents or confidential information into external tools or shareable URLs.
Advertising, analytics and external resources
The website includes Google advertising code and, in production, Google measurement code. Google translation loads only when you choose “Translate this page”. Pages also request fonts from Google and may load external images or media. These requests disclose connection information such as your IP address and may disclose the page address and browser information to the service. Advertising or measurement services may use cookies or similar identifiers, subject to their settings and applicable requirements.
Our GA4 measurement records page paths and a few actions: opening a tool, creating a directory submission, and preparing a tester email draft. These action events do not include form contents, emails, survey records or verification keys. We omit URL queries and fragments from the page addresses we send; simple campaign source, medium and campaign labels may be used for attribution. A prepared email draft is not recorded as a sent application.
See how Google uses data from websites that use its services, Google’s ad settings, ipapi.co’s privacy policy. Browser cookie controls, content blockers and provider settings can limit some external requests or storage; blocking them may affect features.
Earning directory searches and shortlists
The earning directory searches our catalog on the server. Search terms and filters appear in the URL and may be included in normal website request logs. Do not enter private account details. A shortlist stores up to three public site IDs in your browser when storage is available; comparison links contain those IDs only. Clearing site data removes the saved shortlist. Site suggestions prepare an email draft locally and are not uploaded by the form. We receive that draft only if you choose to send the email.
Website-owner directory submissions
The owner submission form sends your website details and contact email to our submission database. Approved owner profiles publish the brand, domain, description, earning model, payment notes and eligibility you submit. Contact emails, management keys, verification challenges and moderation records are not public. We fetch the submitted public pages and a fixed ownership-verification file, or check a DNS record, to assess domain control and relevance. These checks do not test account access or payments.
Private verification details may be kept in this tab’s session storage for up to 24 hours so you can finish verification. A keyed hash of the connection address is used for abuse limits; raw addresses are not stored in the submission records. Rate-limit records expire after their enforcement window. Unpublished requests expire after 30 days; approved profiles and related contact/moderation records remain until updated or removed. Reports are retained in a bounded moderation history. Country tester applications and evidence
The country tester applicationprepares an email draft in your browser. It does not submit a form to our server or save the draft in browser storage. If you send the email, we receive the details you include, such as your country, languages, devices and optional name or experience, along with your email address. We use this correspondence to discuss contributor assignments. There is no automatic assignment or public profile.
Do not include identity documents, bank credentials or raw payment records in an application. Any commissioned testing brief must agree an appropriate route for redacted evidence, who can access it and its retention arrangements. Publishing a public credit or evidence item requires separate permission; applying does not give blanket permission for publication or video, voice or social reuse. Contact us about a specific application or evidence record if you want to correct it or request deletion. General website and email-service practices in this notice still apply.
Why information may be shared
Information is handled by the hosting, security, email and external services involved in delivering the feature you use. We may also need to disclose relevant information to address misuse or a lawful request. An outbound provider link is not an instruction to send us that provider’s respondent profile, survey answers or account credentials. Advertising providers’ own uses of information are described in their policies.
Retention and protection
Enquiry records are kept for handling the enquiry and related operational or legal needs. Browser storage remains until removed by you, the browser or the feature. External providers apply their own retention policies. Contact us about a specific record rather than assuming one retention period applies to every service. We cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet; please send only what is needed.
Your choices and requests
You can read guides without creating a FunSurveys account, decline to contact us, clear browser site data, adjust cookies and advertising settings, or choose not to use an external tool. To ask about access, correction, deletion or another privacy right that applies to you, email us with enough context to locate the relevant interaction. We may need proportionate verification; do not send identity documents unless a secure, necessary verification route has been agreed.
Children and sensitive information
Survey providers set their own age and verification rules. Our editorial website does not ask readers to submit identity documents, bank credentials or sensitive respondent profiles. Do not send a child’s personal information in a correction request. Contact us if you believe such information has been sent to us.
Updates
