What using Prolific could involve

Set aside time only after you can see a suitable study. A place on the waitlist, an available study and an approved reward are three different things. Keep a note of the time you spend and the stage each submission reaches.

Before your first survey

Check your actual country of residence against the current supported list.
Read the accepted-ID requirements before joining the waitlist.
After admission, read each study’s language, device and approval terms before accepting it.

How to think about the reward

Prolific uses approved study balances rather than a retailer-points catalogue. Pending work and an approved balance are different stages. Its GBP/USD cash-out rule should be read as published, without guessing a minimum in your local currency.

Start with a small amount of time, and make your next decision from the invitations and rewards you actually see. Your experience can differ from another person’s account, even in the same country.
