3 LITTLE KNOWN WAYS TO SAVE BIG ON AMAZON
Do you shop on Amazon? Who am I kidding? In this day and age, almost all of us do! Amazon is incredibly convenient and has competitive prices. I know that as a busy mom, I appreciate the opportunity to shop on Amazon . com from the comfort of my home and simply await my purchases. That said, I’m always looking for ways to save more.
If you search on Bing and cinchbucks, you are already earning free money to spend on Amazon. (You can learn more about how I earn free Amazon gift cards with Bing and cinchbucks here.) Now, it’s time to stretch your Amazon money even further with these little known ways to save on Amazon . com. These three simple things have the potential to save lots of you big on Amazon!
3 Little Known Ways to Save Big on Amazon – We all shop at Amazon, so check out these ways to save! Number 1 has saved – and made – me so much money at Amazon . com!
1. Use a cash back program to earn money back on your buys at Amazon.
This savings option has changed slightly because when I originally wrote this post, there is a great cash back program called Giving Assistant that earned 5% back on all Amazon purchases. Unfortunately, Amazon changed policies and didn’t allow Giving Assistant to continue offering that rebate. Giving Assistant is still one of my go-to cash return programs but I now use other programs to earn the occasional cash back on my Amazon . com purchases.
You can now save on Amazon by using Cinchbucks, Ebates or TopCashBack. The difference with one of these programs (from Providing Assistant) is that they only give cash returns on specific categories. The categories are the same for all 3 programs. You can earn cash back from Amazon . com when you are shopping in Handmade, Baby, Shoes, Amazon Home Services, and Handbags & Wallets. The amounts vary. Cinchbucks offers 4 CB per $1 spent. Ebates offers 2% to 5.5% cash return in the various categories. Cinchbucks has the best discount, offering 4 to 8.5% cash back on these categories.
While it’s not nearly as good as Giving Assistant used to be, I recommend you now use Cinchbucks if you are shopping on Amazon. Cinchbucks has also 3,5 different stores where you can shop for extra money back again. They have no minimum payout and allow you to cash out or receive a 2.5% bonus on your earnings when you cash out as an Amazon . com gift card.
You can join Cinchbucks here. It’s my go-to cash return program.
If you’re struggling to decide which one to use, here are some more tips on how to choose the best cash back program for you. Be sure to always use a cash return program when you are shopping on the internet (not just at Amazon) to make money on all your online purchases!
Cinchbucks has one of the best cashback programs for Amazon . com. Most other blogs and sites collect a small commission via Amazon when you click on a product from there. They don’t share their commission, but if you use cinchbucks, you’ll get cashback up to 5% from them! You shop on Amazon anyway, might as well get a little discount and cashback from it!
2. Share a prime membership.
Here is a little known fact about Amazon. It is possible to share a primary membership! It is completely legal to do this. We currently talk about a prime membership with my brother for the free shipping benefits.
Amazon currently allows 2 different members to create and share an “Amazon Household.” You will be able to see the other person’s personal information but this is a great option for saving on your yearly prime membership. Here is more information about Amazon . com Households and how to generate one, directly from Amazon.
Stretch your money even more by starting with a free 30 trial to Amazon prime, and then when your trial is up, add another member to your account. That person can pay you back half your membership fee to make the primary membership an even better bargain.
3. Use the cinchbucks extension.
Have you heard of the cinchbucks addon? this is an extension you add to your internet browser that notifies you when a better deal is available. I wasn’t sure it would be worth installing but Honey has quickly preserved my money on Amazon . com with no extra effort on my part. It’s really amazing!
In addition to working on Amazon, cinchbucks also works anywhere you are shopping online. There are also bonus cash return offers available when you start by shopping at cinchbucks. There are lots of ways to save lots of (and earn) with cinchbucks but the automatic notifications of better offers on Amazon . com is one of my favorite. You can sign up for cinchbucks here.
The average Amazon Prime member spends $1,300 per year, so that’s up to 540 CB per month.
Cinchbucks also offers all of the “normal” retailers as well, so if you spend money anywhere else, you’d get cash back for not doing anything extra. They even currently have 10% cashback on Jet, which is insane.
If you have the cinchbucks extension, it’ll alert you whenever you’re on a site that cinchbucks will offer cashback on.
Cinchbucks Deals for Things You’d Already Buy
If you’re considering Hulu, they currently offer $21 cash return. If you’re considering Blue Apron they offer $55 cash back and 5 free meals. Both the Hulu and Blue Apron deals are the best deals on the market, you just get extra CBs. Most weblogs or news sites get paid $ when you buy something through them. cinchbucks is just turning the tables and giving you a portion of that affiliate commission.
There’s also 3500 CB for getting a $5 dollar shave club starter set – they only offer the $5 on Dollarshaveclub, yet offer an extra $35 on cinchbucks.
If you were going to buy the product anyway, check if there is a cash CB points option. Don’t choose the product just because there are free factors involved! cinchbucks cautions that those who buy things but are not serious about the product will be banned (I assume if you do a ton of free trials yet never continue with the subscription they might see this as negative).
Cinch Coupons For Groceries/Cleaning Products You’d Already Buy
cinchbucks gives you 10 CB for each coupon you redeem at the grocery store and 1 CB for every coupon you print out. Only buy things you’d buy anyhow or if it is a good deal and you’ll actually use it! They usually have a few hundred offers in there. They’re all everyday food, cleaning, or daily consumables. Coupons range from $.5 to $5.
Bonus: Choose no rush shipping and accumulate Amazon. com shopping credits.
If you are a prime member who orders regularly on Amazon and doesn’t mind exercising a bit of patience, select the no rush shipping option instead of free 2-day shipping at checkout. Each time you do this, you will receive some sort of Amazon shopping credit. Sometimes, it is a $5 Prime Pantry discount but most times, this is a $1 credit to utilize on Amazon. com kindle books, movies or television shows.
