I've been a member of the YouGov panel for some years and am well-versed in all aspects of this survey platform.

After reading this evaluation, you will be able to determine whether or not it is worthwhile for you to sign up with YouGov.

What is YouGov and what are the benefits of using it?

YouGov is a market research firm that also provides a member panel where you may get paid to do surveys and provide feedback.

It was created in 2000 and has its headquarters in the United Kingdom, so it has been around for a while. You can, however, participate from a variety of locations across the world, which I shall discuss later.

Let me start by saying that YouGov is not a sham website. It is free to register and use, and I have been paid multiple times by it, so it is a legitimate and safe service that will pay you.

However, just because it isn't a scam doesn't imply it'll be the best survey site for you to join. But you'll know that once you've learned everything there is to know about the site's features.
So, let's have a look at the YouGov possibilities and see how excellent they are.

Option 1 – Paid surveys:

YouGov is, first and foremost, a survey site that primarily focuses on paid surveys as a source of income. In comparison to many other similar sites, it does, however, offer surveys pretty frequently.

You will be notified by email whenever a new survey is released. It varies by nation, but in my experience, you should anticipate receiving 5-7 surveys every week on average. However, there will be fewer during certain seasons.

When compared to many other survey sites, the average survey takes no more than 5-15 minutes to complete, and the YouGov surveys pay fairly well in relation to the time invested. There will be times when surveys will take longer, but the payoff will be greater.

When you receive an email about a YouGov survey that is accessible, you will not be able to see how much of a reward the survey offers or how long it will take.

It is, however, fairly easy to find out, so you should be aware of this before selecting whether or not to take part in a particular survey. Simply click the link in the email to see how many points you can get and how long it will take you. You can just close the window if you decide not to participate.

Another significant bonus is that they nearly never offer you a link to a survey that you aren't eligible for. And if they do, you'll very certainly be sent another survey. Other survey sites should benefit from this, as it can be aggravating to click on multiple surveys that aren't available in the first place.

When compared to other paid survey sites, this one is quite simple to utilise. However, because you are notified through email whenever a new survey is available, you do not need to visit the site very often.

Option 2 – Survey results can be found here:

YouGov Survey Review

YouGov gives you the opportunity to see how your survey responses are utilised. They send out a newsletter about once a month, in which they link to some of the national and international stories in which their survey results have been mentioned.

It's always fascinating to see how a poll you participated in has been cited and what the results are. This is the only survey site I've found that allows you to see the results of the surveys you take.

If you do not wish to receive the newsletter, you can find this information on the website. There will be a section with the most recent results on the survey panel website's top page. Personally, I believe this is a fantastic feature, and it's fascinating to watch how my viewpoint is reflected in public discourse.

This also demonstrates the true power of paid surveys: your voice will be heard, and your responses will count, which is something people often overlook while taking surveys.

The money is lovely, but it's also pleasant to be heard - and paid surveys combine the two. In comparison to many other sites, YouGov makes it much clearer what your answers will be used for, which I believe is fantastic.

Option 3 – Invite your acquaintances

In some regions, YouGov offers you the opportunity to earn additional prizes by referring friends to the site. If this option is available in your country, you will see a link that you can share with your friends once you've logged in.

However, simply inviting friends will not get you a bonus. If a friend joins through your referral link, you'll get rewarded once they complete a specified amount of surveys.
In the country where I live, a person must complete five surveys before I am eligible for a reward. However, this varies from country to country.

The benefits aren't large, and you can only invite others from your own country to join through this link, so it's not a great method to make a lot of money, but it's always nice to have a few more points in your YouGov Account.

So, if YouGov appeals to you, why not ask some of your friends to join as well?

What is the payment method for YouGov?

YouGov Survey Review

Every survey you complete on YouGov will earn you points. These points can be redeemed for a variety of incentives.

The specific prizes vary depending on where you live. You can typically swap your points for gift cards or merchandise in some countries, but there are always some pretty fantastic possibilities, so there will still be lots of great prizes.

You can get paid in cash or prepaid visa cards in other countries if you use PayPal. Some YouGov locations have their own lottery, and you may use your points to enter for a chance to win.

The prizes available in the lottery can be substantial, but there are also few possibilities of winning. Personally, I would rather use my points for something I know I would receive.

You will be routed to YouGov's website after completing a survey, where you can see how many points you earned and how many you have in total.

So, in my opinion, the reward options on YouGov are extremely fantastic, but whether they meet your preferences depends on the specific possibilities in your nation, which you can find on the website of your country (see link further down).

What is the maximum amount of money you can make on YouGov?

In comparison to many other paid survey sites, YouGov offers reasonable survey incentives for the amount of time invested. It's simple and quick to participate because all you have to do is click the link in the email they send you.

You will receive your first 100 points simply by signing up and completing a brief welcome survey (around 3 minutes). Before taking a survey, you may always select whether or not you want to participate, and you can see the prize and anticipated time it will take.

Taking polls on YouGov will not make you wealthy, but that is true of any survey site. However, it offers promising prospects and the potential for some extra cash.
Because it only offers paid surveys, it won't have as many daily possibilities as Get-Paid-To sites like Swagbucks or PrizeRebel, for example. However, YouGov is really user-friendly, and the polls are about interesting topics, and you earn good compensation for your time, so it's absolutely worth a look.

Is it possible to use YouGov on a mobile device?

YouGov Survey Review

YouGov is simple to use on a mobile device. When this is accessible on survey sites, it is always a plus because it allows you to make money on the move and do a survey whenever you have some spare time during the day.

You can download YouGov's app for Android and iOS, and it's really simple to use. You can choose whether or not you want a phone notification when a new survey becomes available. This is a fantastic approach to learning right away. You can turn off notifications like this and still use the YouGov app if you don't like them.

If you join YouGov, I recommend downloading the app because it makes taking surveys and keeping track of your earnings a breeze.

Who is eligible to participate?

YouGov Survey Review

As you can see on the map below, YouGov is available in almost every country.

YouGov Panels are the light red colours, and YouGov Partners are the dark red colours. To see a larger version of the image, simply click on it.

The beautiful thing about YouGov is that the panels are tailored to each country, so the surveys will almost always be conducted in the local language and will frequently cover themes that are special to that region.

The minimum age to join a club varies based on where you reside. If you are under the age of 18, you must check your local YouGov website to see if you are eligible to participate.

If YouGov is available in your country, you can find a link to it at the bottom of this review.

Is it possible to receive help?

It's crucial to be able to seek help on any survey site, even if you don't think you'll need it.

You should start by reading their FAQ section on YouGov. They have one for each country where it is offered, and this will explain a lot of your questions. It is well worth your time to look through it.

If you still have questions, you can contact their customer service team. The speed with which you will receive an answer and the quality of the assistance may vary greatly depending on the country. According to what I've experienced myself and what I've heard from others, assistance is excellent in some nations but not so much in others.

However, if you ever require assistance, YouGov provides a reasonable means of obtaining assistance, and in most circumstances, you will not need to contact their support.

Final Thoughts

YouGov is a safe and legitimate paid survey service in my opinion. However, it depends on where you live and what you're looking for.

So, to wrap up this evaluation, let's summarise the benefits and drawbacks so you can get a better picture before selecting whether or not to join:

Pros:

YouGov Survey Review

  • It's quite simple to use.
  • Good remuneration in relation to the amount of time invested.
  • Allows you to view the results of the surveys.
  • Rarely sends surveys to those who aren't eligible.
  • Has an easy-to-use app

Cons:

YouGov Survey Review

  • There aren't as many surveys as on some other sites.

YouGov is a survey service that is absolutely worth enrolling, in my opinion. It does, however, rely on the incentive possibilities available in the country where you live, as they vary by country.

Although it offers a large number of online surveys, if you want to earn money on a daily basis, you should also join other survey sites in addition to YouGov. However, because YouGov is simple to use and offers really well-paid surveys, it is absolutely a site I recommend joining and one that can help you make some additional money or incentives.
